Educational Opportunities At Pilgrim Lutheran Church

Sunday School
The primary unit of Christian education for our children is the Sunday School. Classes for 3 years of age through 6th grade are held beginning the Sunday after Labor Day through the Sunday before Memorial Day. Classes begin at 9 a.m. and continue through 10 a.m.

Pilgrim Lutheran Preschool
Pilgrim maintains a preschool program for members of the congregation and the community. The preschool operates from September through May of each year. For enrollment information and tuition costs see the Preschool link on this site.

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is held during the summer months. There are classes for 3 years of age through 6th grade. Opportunities for service include: superintendent, teacher, teacher's assistant, music and craft directors and assistants, and snack and recreation coordinators and assistants.

Adult Bible Class
Adult Bible Class is held each Sunday morning from the Sunday after Labor Day until the Sunday before Memorial Day. It is open to all adult members of the congregation. It meets in the Blue Room from 9 to 10 a.m. There is also an Adult Bible Class every Wednesday (year round) that meets at 9:30 a.m. in the Blue Room.

Youth Confirmation Classes
Youth become communicant members of the congregation through successful completion of confirmation classes. Normally, 7th and 8th grade students are involved in the classes in which they study the 6 chief doctrines of the Christian faith. Classes meet as scheduled by the Pastor.

Adult Instruction Class
The Adult Instruction Class is designed for non-Lutherans, high school age and older, who are interested in becoming communicant members of the congregation. The class covers the doctrine and practice of the Lutheran Church as outlined in Dr. Martin Luther's Small Catechism. At the end of the class, there is no obligation to join the congregation. Classes are usually held twice a year. This class also offers a wonderful opportunity for congregational members to review their confirmation instruction.
